To report an ad that got through or a website that broke, it’s faster to use Report a Problem in the app, or Share → Report to Clearpage in Safari — the report carries the details needed to fix it.

Clearpage isn’t blocking anything

Safari keeps extensions switched off until you turn them on.

iPhone and iPad: Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions, then turn on Clearpage Ads. With Clearpage Pro, also turn on Clearpage Privacy, Clearpage Annoyances and Clearpage Regional, then tap Clearpage Advanced, turn it on, and set All Websites to Allow.

Mac: Safari → Settings → Extensions, then tick the Clearpage extensions. For Clearpage Advanced, click Edit Websites… and set When visiting other websites to Allow.

The Status screen in the app shows which extensions are on, and has a step-by-step guide.

YouTube ads are back

YouTube changes how it delivers ads often. When it does, ads can return for a short time until the blocklists catch up — usually a day or two. The Status screen shows a notice while a fix is on its way, so there is no need to report it again.

YouTube ad blocking needs Clearpage Advanced (part of Clearpage Pro), turned on and allowed on youtube.com. Clearpage cannot block ads inside the YouTube app itself.

A website stopped working

Open the page menu in Safari, tap Clearpage Advanced, and choose not to allow it on that website. On a Mac, use Safari → Settings → Websites. Then send a report so it can be fixed for everyone.

Ads or cookie notices still show up

Check that every extension you’re entitled to is on, and that Clearpage Advanced is allowed on all websites. On iPhone and iPad, Private Browsing needs its own permission. Free users see cookie notices and trackers because those need Clearpage Pro.

Blockers stop working with Screen Time

Turning on Screen Time’s website limits disables Safari content blockers system-wide. That is how iOS behaves and isn’t something Clearpage can change. Setting Web Content back to “Unrestricted Access” restores blocking.

All-apps blocking

All-apps blocking needs iOS 26, iPadOS 26 or macOS 26 or later on a real device, and Clearpage Pro. It isn’t available on Apple Vision Pro or in the Simulator. It is not a VPN, and it works alongside VPNs, iCloud Private Relay and custom DNS.

Subscriptions, cancelling and refunds

Manage or cancel Clearpage Pro in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone and iPad, or in the App Store on a Mac. Cancelling stops future renewals and the current period runs to its end. Free ad blocking keeps working afterwards.

Refunds are handled by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.

If you’ve paid but the app still shows Pro features as locked, open Support in the app and tap Restore Purchases.
