Terms of Use
Last updated 13 September 2026
Clearpage is licensed, not sold, under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These terms add the details specific to Clearpage. Where the two conflict, the Standard EULA governs.
What Clearpage does
Clearpage supplies blocking rules to Safari and, with Clearpage Pro on iOS 26, iPadOS 26 and macOS 26, to the system-wide URL filter. It removes advertising, tracking, cookie notices and similar content from websites.
What it doesn’t promise
Clearpage’s rules are built from community-maintained filter lists. Websites change constantly, and advertising networks actively work around blockers. Clearpage does not guarantee that every advertisement, tracker or notice will be blocked, or that every website will work correctly while blocking is on.
If a website breaks, you can turn individual extensions off, or turn off blocking for that site in Safari. If something gets through, tell us with Report a Problem in the app.
Clearpage Pro
Ad blocking in Safari is free. Clearpage Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks tracker blocking, cookie-notice and annoyance removal, regional lists, Clearpage Advanced and all-apps blocking.
- Price: $0.99 per month, or $6.99 per year. Prices in other currencies are set by Apple for your region and shown in the app before you buy.
- Free trial: the yearly plan includes a one-week free trial for subscribers who have not had one before. The monthly plan does not include a trial.
- Billing: payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Renewal: the subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the period.
- Managing it: manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone and iPad, or in the App Store on a Mac. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period runs to its end.
- Free trials: if you cancel before a free trial ends, you are not charged. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Family Sharing: Clearpage Pro can be shared with your family group.
If your subscription ends, free ad blocking in Safari keeps working; the Pro features stop.
Refunds
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple, and so are refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
Acceptable use
Use Clearpage for its intended purpose on devices you control. Do not attempt to redistribute, resell, or reverse engineer it beyond what the Standard EULA and applicable law permit.
Third-party filter lists
Clearpage’s blocklists are compiled from community-maintained filter lists, each under its own licence. The lists used, their authors and their licences are credited under Acknowledgements in the app. Those licences govern the underlying list content.
Availability
Blocklist updates and, for Clearpage Pro, the all-apps lookup service depend on servers that may occasionally be unavailable, and features may change over time. Blocking continues to work with the lists already on your device while updates are unavailable.
No warranty and limitation of liability
Clearpage is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited as set out in the Standard EULA. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country that cannot be waived.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change. The date at the top will change with them, and continuing to use Clearpage after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the consumer law of your country of residence grants you rights that cannot be excluded by agreement.
